About This Blog
Welcome to the corner of the internet that is wholly dedicated to helping you befriend your troubled mind.
The mind is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master.
Robin Sharma
The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell or a hell of heaven.
John Milton
As someone who has struggled with mental health since I was a teen, I know only too well the challenges it can present in day-to-day life. I’m not a psychologist or a trained professional, but having lived with less-than-ideal mental health for a very long time I’m well acquainted with the myriad ways in which it colours our life, hampers our potential, and makes us miserable.
This mental health blog represents everything I’ve learned on my 20+year journey of learning to cultivate a positive relationship with my own mind. I share personal experiences, tips, and research-backed strategies to help you gain a better understanding of your own mental health. From philosophy to spirituality to science, I draw from a wide range of sources to suggest wholesome solutions. My aim is to not just overcome specific mental health-related issues but to cultivate an overall richer life experience. Everything I share here is something that has worked for me.
The topics you can expect to find on this mental health blog:
- How to deal with anxiety in day-to-day life
- How not to let moods/emotions overwhelm you
- Gaining a better understanding of yourself
- Lifestyle changes that can help us improve our mental health
- Wellness and how we can implement it in our lives for better mental health
- Meditation, mindfulness, and the magic of deep sleep
- Positive psychology and reframing situations
- Anything that helps you take charge of and improve your mental health
You are not alone. I hope through my words you feel seen and heard. And that you find here a little ray of hope, if not gushing inspiration, to turn things around for the better.
Thank you for visiting.
Peace and namaste
